Featuring work by Kurt Jackson, Wolfgang Buttress and Amy Shelton, this insightful exhibition of science and contemporary art brings new views on bees and other native pollinators: their vital role, their extraordinary lives, their plight and the story of our native dark honey bees and the role they play. Plan Bee brings together a wide range of collaborators from many disciplines connected by their passion to save our pollinators.
Our tours and tractor rides run regularly throughout the day.
With one of our team as your guide, venture deep into our world, where heritage, craft and innovation combine. Whether it’s picturing yourself pulping apples with our collection of historic cyder presses, riding through our orchards to see the fruit we use, weaving across our barrel-lined cellars, or marvelling at our copper pot still where the whiskey magic happens, you’ll be amazed at what goes into everything we make.
We have a range of tour options available, depending on how long you have – from 20 minutes to the full 1 hour 45 and are suitable for all the family.
The West Cornwall Spring Show has been running for over 90 years and is a showcase for horticultural excellence within Penwith. Each year cut blooms and specimens of camellias, magnolias and other flowering plants can be seen.
Open to all, exhibitors include great historic gardens right through to small domestic growers.
In recent years, children’s classes have been added to the show to help inspire the next generation of growers and exhibitors.
