1. Where is the nearest bus stop and where can I get the bus to/from to Perranporth ?

The main bus stop is located on Beach Road to the right-hand side of Perranporth Surgery as you look at it. This bus stop services buses going in both directions.  The main services that operates from Perranporth are the U1 and U1A    which is a circular route from Newquay to Truro and Falmouth via Perranporth, the service runs hourly. 

During the Summer months there is an additional service the No.57 to St Ives, this operates a daily service. For more information on other services check out First  . Check out our Getting Around page for the latest bus timetables.

Where can I hire a wheelchair?

The Red Cross offer a delivery service if booked in advance. For more information on their mobility aids and services call 01209 614928.

Beach Wheelchairs are available to hire in the Summer from The Beach Car park, through the Perranporth Garden Charities, They are free to use, just call 01872 571605 (Mornings only) 07395 052980   to reserve your chair.

How do I get to the Lost church?

Drive out of Perranporth heading towards Goonhavern past the Golf Club, at the very top of the hill before the road bears to the right, turn into Perran Sands Holiday Park.  Park up and in front of you is a gate which takes you onto the common. Follow the white stones to the Oratory and The Lost Church.

Where is Winston Graham's memorial?

Walk across Perranporth Beach past The Watering Hole to the first set of rocks and climb the  steps to the cliffside, on the left hand side slightly hidden you will find the concrete memorial bench.

What coast path walks can I do from Perranporth?

You can choose to join the coast path at Flat Rocks to head North to the nearest stop Holywell Bay then onto Newquay and beyond or join the footpath at the top of Droskyn to head South to the first stop Trevellas then St Agnes and beyond.

Where is the nearest supermarket?

There are two Co-op mini markets in Perranporth, both sell general groceries. Truro and Newquay are both equal distance away and there you will find Supermarkets, such as Sainsbury’s, Morrisons, Tesco and Lidl.

Is there disabled parking in Perranporth?

Wheal Leisure, The Beach car park and the main Co-op Car Park all have disabled parking bays.  There is also a small bay in the main high street for a limited time only. 

Can I take my dog on Perranporth beach?

Yes, our 3-mile-long beach is dog friendly all year around.  There are restrictions in July and August when dogs must be kept on a short lead in the main area up to the flat rocks.

Is there a Bank in Perranporth?

There is no longer a bank in Perranporth, although Lloyds bank to have a mobile unit situated at Wheal Leisure Carpark on a Monday, Weds and Thursday morning. Daily banking can be done at the post office also.

Are there any cash points in Perranporth?
