....and this festive season brings with it the Heligan Christmas Fair, on Saturday 9th and Sunday 10th December from 10am to 4pm.
This festive event, will give you the perfect opportunity to get into the festive spirit and soak up the stunning surroundings as well as find some truly unique Christmas gifts.
Heligan’s ethos for showcasing local businesses will be felt strongly during this time as they invite over 80 local producers, artisans, creators and makers to come and trade under a canopy of festive joy, with marquees in the coach park, picnic and ticketing areas.
Visitors are invited to browse the traders' wares to find something unique for that special person – and with well over 80 stalls, there's certainly plenty on offer including food and drink produce, crafts, jewellery, art and more.
There’s also the opportunity to buy or order your Christmas tree! Choose from a 3 foot pot grown Norway spruce all the way up to a 10ft Nordmann!

08/09/2017 - Newquay Fish Festival
Festivalgoers will be able to witness numerous fishing demonstrations from the region’s top chefs, such as BBC MasterChef Winner, James Nathan of the Green Room Restaurant at Retallack Resort and Spa, Jim Whatcott of the Carnmarth Hotel and Christopher Archambault of the Headland Hotel. These will be followed by a stunning performance from Oll en Gwella choir, the Blue Reef Rockpool Roadshow, a demo by the Old Ale House in Truro, before Friday comes to a sensational crescendo with the Last Night of the Proms at 7pm. This is a one night spectacle, during which the Mount Charles Band is set to bring all of the pomp of the Royal Albert Hall to the Harbour. BBC Radio Cornwall will also be broadcasting live from the Festival in the afternoon.
There will be live entertainment and a focus on the different types of seafood that local fishermen catch. The chefs make the event what it is and they are all passionate about what they do, and making sure the fish they use is sustainable.
The event has revealed the extraordinary talent and high standards that are available locally and helped to showcase some of the rising stars of the culinary world.

The BIG Bale Push, one of Cornwall's craziest fund-raising events, is available for all to join on September 8, 2017 at Crantock Village. Teams of four must push a proper job BIG straw bale - standing 4'6" and weighing 420 lbs - around the village. The children's races, using a specially prepared bale, gets this phenomenal evening of fabulous fun rolling.Whether you attend as a competitor or spectator you will have a wonderful time, safe in the knowledge that local charities will once again be the true winners of each race.

These will be followed by a stunning performance from Oll en Gwella choir, the Blue Reef Rockpool Roadshow, a demo by the Old Ale House in Truro, before Friday comes to a sensational crescendo with the Last Night of the Proms at 7pm. This is a one night spectacle, during which the Mount Charles Band is set to bring all of the pomp of the Royal Albert Hall to the Harbour. BBC Radio Cornwall will also be broadcasting live from the Festival in the afternoon.
There will be live entertainment and a focus on the different types of seafood that local fishermen catch. The chefs make the event what it is and they are all passionate about what they do, and making sure the fish they use is sustainable.

This festive event, will give you the perfect opportunity to get into the festive spirit and soak up the stunning surroundings as well as find some truly unique Christmas gifts.
Heligan’s ethos for showcasing local businesses will be felt strongly during this time as they invite over 80 local producers, artisans, creators and makers to come and trade under a canopy of festive joy, with marquees in the coach park, picnic and ticketing areas.
